Music has always played an important part in Worship at Saint Alban's. This includes the singing of both Hymns and Service Music at our regular 10 am Sunday Services as well as special music, including additional Choir members, brass and/or string instruments and Handbells at services on Easter and Christmas. Special musical services such as Evensong are held periodically.
The historic church is noted for its superb acoustics and is home to two period appropriate instruments: an 1883 Hook & Hastings opus 1192 pipe organ and a 1893 Steinway grand piano. Both of these instruments have been fully restored and are used for Worship Services as well as for concerts presented by Alban Arts.
The Church's beautiful wooden Gothic Revival structure boasts an acoustic ideally suited to chamber music, and is also a warm and intimate setting for vocal performance.
