Music has always played an important part in Worship at Saint Alban's. This includes the singing of both Hymns and Service Music at our regular 10 am Sunday Services (9 am in the Summer) as well as special music, including additional Choir members, brass and/or string instruments and Handbells at services on Easter and Christmas. Special musical services such as Evensong are held periodically.
The historic church is noted for its superb acoustics and is home to two period appropriate instruments: an 1883 Hook & Hastings opus 1192 pipe organ and a 1893 Steinway grand piano. Both of these instruments have been fully restored and are used for Worship Services as well as our Music at Saint Alban's Concerts.

Music at Saint Alban's is a community outreach program sponsored by historic Saint Alban's Episcopal Church which brings affordable, high-caliber performances of classical music by outstanding international young artists to Staten Island's South Shore community. The series is supported by generous donations from Saint Alban's parishioners, friends in the larger community, local businesses, community organizations, by tickets and season subscriptions, and by gracious in-kind contributions by the artists themselves.

The Church's beautiful wooden Gothic Revival structure boasts an acoustic ideally suited to chamber music, and is also a warm and intimate setting for vocal performance.
